Helmsec is an Investment and Advisory House engaged in offering the full-range of Corporate Advisory and ECM services. Helmsec was the 1st institutional broker to execute and settle via Penson (which became Pershing, BNY Mellon and now FinClear).
In 2016 Helmsec founded PrimaryMarkets (www.primarymarkets.com) now Australia's No 1 Trading Platform for unlisted/private securities with a global investor network of 110,000+, T+0 execution/settlement of secondary trades facilitated with online AML/KYC/Investor Status Verification plus third-party Escrow Services.
Helmsec has transacted A$2B+ in new capital raisings and secondary trades. Since 2008 Gavin Solomon has been Executive Chairman of Helmsec.

Gavin is the Founder (2008) and Executive Chairman of Helmsec Global Capital. Gavin recently retired as Executive Director of Complii FinTech Solutions Ltd (ASX.CF1) after being the Founder and Executive Director of PrimaryMarkets Pty Limited (Australia) from 2016 - Australia's No 1 Trading Platform for unlsited/private securities. PrimaryMarkets has transacted A$300M+ of secondary trades of securtities in private/unlisted companies and funds and Helmsec had provided its AFSL to PrimaryMarkets. Gavin was recently appointed Special Advisor to Nihilent, a global IT firm located in 14 office worldwide with 3,500+ employees. Gavin has over 35 years’ experience in the Australian, North American and Asian Equity Capital Markets. Gavin hold degrees in Commerce and Law, is a Notary Public and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Gavin was a past, long standing Non-Executive Director of the Bradman Foundation and International Cricket Hall of Fame.

David L Williams
David has 30+ years’ experience in both the
Australian and USA Equity Capital Markets. David is a highly respected,
internationally recognised, experienced financial problem solving and
structuring Corporate Advisor and Director. He has a strong transactional skill
base with a proven track record of an ability to procure financing (equity and
debt) at both company and project level including in the mining, resources,
property and IT space. David is a former CEO of the Corporate Finance at Ord Minnett,
ex-Head of Corporate Finance at BZW Australia as well as ex-Executive Director
of several successful, smaller ECM houses. David was a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered
Accountants, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD)
and an Associate of the Securities Institute of Australia.
